When Is a Consultant Useful?

Increasingly, expectations for better, faster outcomes demand that professionals enhance critical competencies to work more effectively with diverse co-workers and customers.

Sittcom, Inc. provides consulting services for management, teams, boards, councils, partnerships, owners in diverse occupations in public and private sectors in areas, including but not limited to:

  • Interpersonal Communication

  • Workplace Issues

  • Education, Training & Development

By blending expertise in training, facilitating, coaching and mediating, our consulting approach cuts the learning curve improving results and relationships.

While reading publications, attending seminars and mentoring are useful tools, consulting is a recommended approach:

  • When management lacks either the knowledge, skills, time, staff or resources necessary to solve workplace issues

  • When an independent third-party objective decision or facilitation would be helpful

  • When morale is low, turnover high, collaboration, service, quality, teamwork, communication or accountability inconsistent, complaints or grievances arise

  • When an executive, manager or employee lacks certain skills or abilities necessary to optimize their potential and contribution

  • If things are just not as good as they could be….

Dr. Connie Sitterly, CMC (Certified Management Consultant) brings over 20 years of consulting experience in the public and private sectors, providing and implementing practical solutions to workplace challenges.

When dealing with people challenges, addressing marginal performance or behavioral concerns, transforming a group into a team, developing interpersonal and communication skills, Dr. Sitterly can facilitate solutions hindering performance, collaboration or potential career opportunities.

Whether helping a physician’s group choose a new partner, counseling physicians to interact with patients and staff with tact and sensitivity, implementing service improvement initiatives or facilitating dysfunctional departments, supporting strategic initiatives, Dr. Sitterly has also served medical providers for over a decade.

To learn a client’s specific needs, some assignments may require Dr. Sitterly to work on site, observing meetings or work procedures, reviewing related documents, interviewing managers and/or employees to properly assess the situation and identify improvement opportunities. Dr. Sitterly then provides feedback and recommendations and collaboratively develops an action plan with necessary support, resources and follow up for sustainable, measurable results.

CMC (Certified Management Consultant) is awarded by the Institute of Management Consultants USA and signifies the highest standards of consulting and adherence to the ethical canons of the profession. Less than 1% of all consultants have achieved this level of performance.
